Question What exactly is Westminster, Colorado?

Is it a suburb of Denver? Is it far away from Denver Metro/proper? I'm looking at schools which claim to be in Denver but then when I look at the actual address they are in Westminster, Colorado. What gives?

Westminster is a suburb of Denver, it is it's own city.

It's a suburb north of Denver. It's maybe 20 minutes from downtown Denver--so it's just as close as most other suburbs. It has it's own city council, it's own schools, etc.--so it's not part of the city of Denver at all.

It's a pretty decent area. There are some really shady parts--like most of Adams County--but it's also got plenty of nice, new subdivisions. Don't know what you're looking for but, as you seem to be doing, do your research because Denver and Westminster are no San Diego.
