I've been going down town and it's so young... Like early 20's, good for some - but not for what I'm looking for. I like "edgy" gals in their mid-30's... Any ideas? I'm looking for bar, pubs, underground stuff too & just things like that on the weekends. Where do these types of people go and do here in Denver. Oh, & I love rock-A-billy gals! I got some good suggestions like the Skylark and some other's. Just hoping there's more!!! Hope everyone had a great weekend!!! Cheers

LoL, were back to the Menver thing. 1/3 of the guys are gay, so that takes the ratio to about 3 to 1 on our side. The other 1/3 are married. So that takes the ratio to 6 to one... were in bro!

Streets of London pub on Colfax (sleeve tattoos and punk scooter crowd), Sancho's Broken arrow on colfax (grateful dead bar), Larimer Lounge, Watercourse foods (a vegetarian restaurant that might be a gateway spot for the next step), TOSA arts on 17th and platte, and I guess there's an uberhipster restaurant called Root Down that has the hip look without the true edge. Still, lots of money and photogenic people to make your food at least psychologically better. I assume that there's some type of social aspect as well.
On the flip side, try Elway's in Cherry Creek for a true challenge. Suppossedly it's the cougar capital of the city and while there's lots of $ there (but no edge) as well, opposites attract so you never know.

Plenty in the suburbs, try around the time when elementary schools let out, you see a throng of 30-40s women milling about.

Drew, I am truly not being a jerk by saying what I am about to say. I am truly convinced that what you say about "Menver" is indeed the unfortunate truth. That, my friend, is the reason that I am moving away from Colorado at the end of the year. I live down in Colorado Springs and it is the same way here plus a couple of differences. The people here in the Springs (especially the women) act very stuck up, unapproachable, and unfriendly. Also, I have met several transplants here from mid-western states such as Indiana and the south (like myself) who have picked up on the fact that people ARE NOT very socialable and approachable here like they are in the south and the midwest. This fact holds true especially for the women. My suggestion would be to do what I am doing and move to the south or midwest where the women are not stuck up and will actually talk to strangers. The lack of single women here combined with people's nasty attitudes here in Colorado is the exact reason that I am moving to Austin, TX at year's end.

Let me tell you, D.C. is the happy hunting grounds, provided you want to meet and date well educated career women. Tons of them there working for the government, legal firms and lobbyists. A woman with a six-figure income is VERY attractive.

I am with you 100%. I am at that point too, but I have a 3 1/2 yr old daughter that lives here, so I am always going to be stuck in the 3 million man guy fest known as Denver Colorado.
