it is a very nice place. Whole Foods & Wal Mart are newer and on Hampden. My husband's boss has lived off monaco for 15+ years.

light rail open in November off Parker & I-225.

Are the kids in school? DPS or CCSD?

I am assuming you are talking about the Vassar Place apartment complex on Vassar Drive. I wouldn't recommend this complex, but you could do a lot worse. I've never lived in this community but have had some friends who lived here. From what they tell me this community is kind of falling apart. A lot of the amenities are old and not very well kept up. The community is pretty safe though. There is some crime, but it is not an excessively dangerous part of town.

Just so you know Cherry Creek Country and Kennedy Golf Course are only golf courses, and the ball park is just a ball park so they won't offer much recreation unless you love golf. Henzel park is more like a preserve then a park. It isn't kept up by parks and rec and is just more of a trail. This area is great for walking, running or bike riding but doesn't have fields or a playground/pool. You have great access to both the Cherry Creek and the Highline Canel which both have great walking trails.

I'm not sure what schools your kids would be going to but if you find out you can let me know and I can tell you how good they are.

Long story short, I would suggest looking at some other communities that you can afford and have the amenities you want and we can tell you how they would stack up against each other.

Why does everybody think Vassar Place off of Monaco . There is a Vassar Place apartment complex off of Havana but not one off of Monaco. Auto thefts seem to be high in Denver so I'm not really that surprised that you had your car broken into. I grew up near there in a nice neighborhood and many of my neighbors and friends had their cars broken into from time to time. Of course this always depends on where you are. The apartments along Evans or Hampton are much more likely to have theft then any of the single family neighborhoods.

Ironically you are probably more likely to have your car borken into off Havana then off of Monaco and this complex should experience some auto theft. If you move there you shouldn't leave valuables out or they probably won't be there when you come back.
