Any suggestions on how to find a rental for the season somewhere between frisco and edwards? Back in New England there were lots of big old houses that made great shares, but here it seems mostly expensive condos and mansions. craigslist is useless. any other suggestions? or better yet, anybody have a room to spare this winter for a couple and their dog?

You shouldn't be posting this on the "Denver" forum -- you should be on the "Colorado" forum. And change the subject line. The area between Frisco and Edwards is NOT the Front Range.

Isn't skiing in the mountains part of the Denver "lifestyle" and thus be ok to discuss here? What is defined as front range?

of course it is "ok to discuss" here. Lots of us who live in Denver drive the one hour plus to the various ski areas in the mountains. But I think what you really want is someone who is more familiar with the housing scene IN the mountains.

My suggestion was merely that if you want to get a response to your question about finding a house in the Frisco/Edwards area, that you put a title on your post stating that. Your title says "front range ski house". The Front Range is actually where Denver, Boulder, Ft. Collins, Colorado Springs are located; it's the east side of the mountains.
