Default Good Mom+Pop Resturants DTC and South of DTC??

I was looking for ideas for Mom+Pop style restaurants in the South Suburbs.
(Arapahoe Road, County Line Road, or anywhere semi close)

All the chain restaurants seem like "processed food with lots of salt" so I am
looking for healthier places to eat out.

For Breakfast you can't beat the "Egg & I". (Yosemite RD) Once you eat there
you will NEVER eat at Village Inn again. Benedick's is also very good but more
expensive than Egg & I.

I also like Brother's for Ribs. (Arapahoe RD)

So what are some more "non-chain" restaurants serving home style cooking
without all the "processed" foods??

Egg and I are great places, too bad the one here on the north end of COLO SPGS closes at 2PM, as a plate of eggs has always been a nice dinner once in a while.

Along those lines, I've always liked Le Peep for eggs. Here's their CO listing, not sure any are near your location.

Some people hate Denny's, but we have one near us that always puts out a great plate of eggs. The chain may be national, but the folks there are local and very friendly, real types.

Well I think I have breakfast covered. 'Egg & I" seems perfect for me no
need to mess with perfection at a reasonable price..

I was looking for Mom+Pop's that serve home cooking for lunch/dinner.
Restaurants for Italian, Greek, and also a place just plain meat and potatoes
kind of cooking.

But thanks for the ideas. I am sure someone won't have an "Egg & I"
nearby..

Diego Zhang (Arapahoe and Peoria - NW Corner) serves gourmet mini burgers and has a small breakfast menu.
Los Dos Potrillos (Holly & County Line - NW Corner) has good mexican.
Little Anita's (Yosemite south of Arapahoe) is a good hole in the wall mexican place (NM style).

Diego Zhang's is also open at the Streets of Southglenn. They have pretty good muffin sandwiches for breakfast. I haven't tried them for Burger's yet. Also wanted to point out there is an Egg & I across University from Streets of Southglenn.

I'll be curious to see what others suggest, as I'm one of the odd ones who can't remember the last time I went somewhere that wasn't a chain in the sense of only having 1 location (even Egg & I and Diego Zhangs and yes even Los Dos Potrillos and Little Anita's have multiple locations)!

Actually, Shanghai Garden at University and Arapahoe is my favorite place to go for chinese take-out and it's non-chain. I have tried many places around south metro area and they have the most flavorful in my opinion.

Santoro's Brick Oven Pizza in Lone Tree is really family owned and has the best Philly steak sandwiches!

The whole idea here it to "eat healthier". Chains tend to be all processed
foods with heavy salt content while Mom+Pops tend to start from scratch
with whole (unprocessed) foods.

Thanks for all the suggestions!!!

These places look interesting, do they seem to use unprocessed foods?

Little Anita's (on Yosemite S of Arapahoe) Mexican
Shanghai Garden (at University and Arapahoe) Chinese
Damscus Grill (at Littleton Blvd and Datura) Greek/Mediterranean
Santoro's Brick Oven Pizza (Lone Tree) Philly steak Sandwiches
Armando's (16611 E Smoky Hill Rd, Aurora) Itailian

Keep the suggestions coming.. Let's help everyone "eat out" more healthy!!

This also helps to preserve "locally owned" restaurants...
