Default Specific EVERGREEN kid friendly neighborhoods?

Hi,
We are planning to relocate to Evergreen and I would like to narrow our search to neighborhoods heavy with young kids. I would like my kids to have friends nearby and not feel isolated or have to get in a car everytime they want to play. Would like to stay in the $600,000 or lower range. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Also, does Evergreen have youth sports leagues such as soccer, baseball? Is this only during the warmer months or is there an indoor facility?

Thanks for any info!

Evergreen has neighborhoods?

Homes in Evergreen typically have large lots and are pretty spaced out, at least the ones I have seen. It seems like the kind of place where you would need your car for just about everything.

But, I'd like somebody to prove me wrong. There has to be at least a teeny bit of new suburbia in there somewhere.

It is going to be hit or miss. Evergreen is mostly families with kids but some neighborhoods might have a lot of kids and some not so much. As people come and go this changes all the time so there is no way to say with any certainty that one neighborhood always has kids etc.....

I would say kids only walk to see their immediate neighbors given the larger lot sizes. Anything else will require a car.

All regular sports (soccer, baseball, football, lacrosse) are offered and played outdoors. They aren't played in winter but it isn't unusual to have a game canceled if you are playing during the shoulder seasons because of snow. They will make up the game at a later time. Some years this happens, some not.

During winter lots of kids are part of ski/snow board teams and hitting the slopes.
