I'd rather choose a community based on its acceptance of diversity than the actual demographics.

I live pretty deep in the "Ranch" near Poston and Griggs and it typically takes me 20-30 minutes to get downtown without traffic. It also depends what part of the city you're traveling to(i.e. Union Station area, 16th street mall, confluence park area, convention center, city park, east colfax, coors field, etc).

Also, I can usually go from HR to Lakeside area(@ I-70) in about 35-45 minutes using the C-470 and/or I-25. Its about 31-34 miles one way. Its so nice to have a choice.

What about going from Highlands Ranch to the Denver Tech Center area in normal traffic? In the snow?

Hi dtnach, I am glad you love it there. I used to live in NJ (Elizabeth) and worked in Summit. How do you compare traffic in NJ and CO? Is it comparable at all? I now live in NY which is probably worse for traffic but at least you have subways and buses so you can live without the car.
How far is Highlands Ranch from Denver? Is it worth living there if you work in Denver area?
