Goofy question on odor in n. denver
Does anyone know why the north Denver area, maybe North Washington area, smells like moth balls? I've noticed it most often around the I-25/I-76 exchange and have been curious about it for years. It's not always there, but definitely prevalent when it is!

I smell it too on my way to work. I just assumed there was some kind of chemical plant in the neighborhood. Good question!

The only thing I can think of is the dog food plant, but that is by I-25 and I-70, not 76

That's funny, I know what smell you're talking about as well. Nobody knows what it is though? Definitely not the dog food plant, as that is on I-70 quite a ways away.

I have never smelled moth balls. How do you get your nose between their little legs?

coming in from the north into downtown you can see a deffinet line where the "smog" is... cold days just as the sun is coming up... all is clear until that particular area... then ... nasty smell.. i don't get used to it till I get into the office downtown..
