Is it just me or is this winter becoming very cold and snowy? We've been hit with a couple of major snowstorms already and another one is on the way. And the temperatures have been cold. I mean, like really cold. Next five days it shows us to be in the teens and low 5's at night. With snow on the way. What say you?

I hope Denver is not turning into Wyoming type of weather!!!!! But you are right, Denver can get WY type of winter weather occasionally, but I hope it doesn't stay that way. This winter is sure does seem like Denver is turning into Montana and Wyoming.

Even now Wyoming is getting hit harder then we are. Most of the country is in a freeze right now. Cold frount is bringing a piece of Alaska down to greet us.

The weather is neither particularly normal nor abnormal for this time of year. I"ve seen it like this before. More often, it is generally sunny and fairly warm, 50ish.

Eh... my wife is in Bethel Alaska on a job right now... it was above freezing and raining there last night.

Yup, warmer in Alaska than in Denver. That was true most of the summer too (we spent 5 months in Juneau, AK over the summer where there was a high temp record about once a week).

The weather is unpredictable. Yes, it's been FREAKING FREEZING lately but next winter will probably be dry and warm. Welcome to Colorado. I do remember one of the weather forecasters on the mainstream news here saying that the effects of "El Nino" (or was it La Nina...I can't remember) means that this winter will have early snowfalls and then little-to-no-snow later in the season. Last year, I hardly ever wore my winter coat around town. This year, I've worn it nearly every day.

But Al Gore and the cry-baby Libs are screaming 'global warming'!
President Obozo whines about 'Carbon Cap and trade"!

I'm an airline pilot who'll be taking inelligent Coloradans south until it warms up back to normal next week. Hang tough folks...it won't last long....we are Colorado!
