The Poppins Report:

There were tons of selected performances with that code, but all of the really cheap tickets seem to be either gone or not eligible under the "CHIMNEYSWEEP" promo code. The lowest price I could find were a couple for $52.50 that didn't have a fee (not sure why that was) on Thursday the 25th in the balcony (actually great seats for kids, as they were in the last row near an entrance).

I ended up getting some for Wednesday 3/31 in the "Close Orchestra Side" price level, off to the side and just a few rows back from the stage. The seats are just a few away from the "Golden Circle" area and with the 30% off were $52.50 plus the $8 fee. Since the show is a special treat, I can now talk it up to my DS without being afraid that I bought some fake tickets secondhand.

Thanks again for the discount code!!!!

Is this for real? Are black market tickets available in America? Is it even legal, lol.....

This is a reminder of my youth, beating and quarrelling in a crowd to get tickets, which often turned out into a stampede, I wonder how many shirts I tore apart...... countless I once saw a movie almost without a shirt (think it was Eraser, the Arnie film of the mid-90s), it was totally ragged. And you always have jugglers who sell tickets in the backdoor.

Follow-up report on the Mary Poppins discount tickets: we were about 5 rows back, just a few seats to the left of the Golden Circle area. Fantastic seats, and a great show.

Just before intermission a teenager two seats down from us barfed all over the place. We left and imagined that cleanup would be no big deal, surely this happens all the time. When we came back the smell was still really, really strong and there was a section of about 20 seats around the barf chair that were empty (in an otherwise full house).

After talking with the usher (he suggested we sit up in the back balcony, or take it up with the box office), we ended up waiting to see if any other seats would be available (this was about 5 minutes after the second half started). We ended up sitting in 3 empty seats in the FRONT ROW! It was really unbelievable. We were off to the side, but so close that they were really awesome. Of course my son wants to sit there again next time ...

Thanks again.
