I'm considering a move to Denver...can you elaborate? Are you comparing the cultural opportunities of that in Chicago to those in Denver?

Most people adjust to the dry air in a few days or a few weeks. The dry air often dries out nasal passages which causes nosebleeds. Whole-house humidifiers are the norm here for most people. New arrivals need to drink a lot of water and use saline spray as they acclimate to a semi-desert climate. I wear a breathing mask during sleep (aka CPAP) and it has a humidifier too.

Well, I wonder if using a Neti pot regularly could significantly help the dry nose issue? I'm not a fan of nasal sprays but the Neti pot is a godsend for me during allergy season and when I visit up north in winter (I'm currently in the deep South so dry air is a non-issue).

Riverboat gambling is not in every city but you can gamble there in blackhawk right? Trees to grow fruit I do not consider things to do IMO.

Deepsea fishing you got but then you bring up a debate of ocean vs mountains and that just boils down to what you want in life.

Denver area offers some of the best skiing/snowboarding in the world, mountain climbing, hiking, mountain biking, white river rafting, 4 wheel driving, awsome national parks, hunting, trout fishing and camping just to name a few.

To have a view of the ocean in most cities is not affordable, most of Denver has a view of the mountains.
