Default mother's day out/toddler programs?

We recently moved to central Denver and are looking for a 1-2 day/week program (3-5 hours/day) for our son who will soon be two years old. I have found programs at some churches in the suburbs, but does anyone know of a good program closer to downtown for pre-preschoolers?

Montessori of Denver is located downtown and has those programs
There is a good Co-op on Marion and 4th that also has a great program starting at 15 months
Calvary Temple (1st and Alameda)
St. John's Lutheran (Franklin and Exposition) on WAsh Park has PDO, 1/2 and Full starting at 18 months
Montessori of Colorado at Holly and Mexico is a great school and has a new toddler program

I'm sure I can think of more. I live in Central Denver and there are a lot of choices that start at 18 months. Much more to choose from than in the infant stage.

You can check out several groups - one is denver mothers and more - the Denver Public Library has programs and Denver Parent - For all parents in Denver is a good source of info. There is a toddler tango class and baby loves disco offered i recall, the jewish community center and most community centers have family swim classes, there is a "my gym" toddler center - Baby Power baby child care parenting parent pre-nursery school play program new jersey child development child creativity child play program interaction gymnastic parent child communication bonding intellectual development physical development exerci has listings for baby yoga. gymboree has play and music classes too...

there also use to be a mommy and me movie at several local theaters - I think it was wednesday ams we did a lot of looking for programs and then moved before Daughter was old enough to do many of them! They may be fun things for you all to do... maybe not quite what you are looking for, but being new to the area, there are lots of fun things!!

If you happen to have any more ideas, I'd love them! All of the Montessori programs I've called have huge waitlists for the next year, Calvary Temple only has full-time day care, and Denver co-op preschool is filled up for another year. The Lutheran Church does have openings for fall 2007 and I visited this morning - looks like exactly what I'm looking for, but pretty pricey ($324 per month for 2 mornings per week). I know I'm looking pretty late in the game, but let me know if you can think of any more ideas! (I'm in the Cherry Creek North area). Thank you so much!!!

PM me about St. Johns- we go there. It is a great program, and great to meet new moms. For the price, I find it better than many alternatives, especiallly given your timing for next year
Children's Garden is in CCN but has a HUGE waitlist too
Wash Park Montessori starts at 3 I think

Sorry dj32 - I'm new to this forum and have no idea what "PM" means! Anyway, I'm keeping St. Johns in mind as I continue to keep my ears open for a few more days. It's really helpful to know that your kid(s) go there and have enjoyed it! Have you done the PDO programs? Any specific likes/dislikes? Thanks for your help!
