Default Safe/affordable/good schools

Where (specifically) in the Denver area should we look for something in the $150-175 range? We're looking for low crime/family friendly/good school district, and are willing to have a 30-40 min or so commute to downtown. We know we may need to go the townhouse route, which we could deal with if we have to. TIA!!!

KY check out the public MLS site http://www.reColorado.com there are nice townhomes in the $150-$175 range. You can even buy a small home for $200,000. The average is $259,000 and the median is closer to $310,000.

We have had steady appreciation over the last 5 years. Please support you "overpriced" statement with facts.
