I was just wondering if anyone else noticed a big military-grade dual rotor black helicopter along with a smaller regular-sized helicopter, also black, yesterday hovering over downtown at a little after 2pm yesterday? I'm just curious if anyone knows what was going on. Maybe it was nothing. I was on the far West side of Auraria campus when I noticed it so I couldn't tell exactly where it was. It looked to me to be somewhere around Civic Center Station or maybe Capitol Hill.

I suspect it had to do with the diplomatic "incident" on a plane bound for Denver yesterday.

By "dual rotor" I assume you mean two separate rotors, one at the front and one at the back? There are designs that incorporate two rotors on one shaft as well. If it was the former those are nicknamed "Chinooks" and are utility/transport aircraft. The smaller one was probably a Blackhawk...
