the fact that there is even a conversation about whether denver is green enough should tell you something. fact is, it's a semi-arid environment. it is what it is. if you're from the mid-atlantic or northeast (or anywhere with 4 "true" seasons that include significant rainfall), you will find denver to be much more brown, dry, and barren than what you're used to. i grew up in maryland and spent 10 months in denver. it's different.

Denver has a lot of good qualities, but being a 'pretty city' isn't one of them
I have never heard anyone move to Denver to enjoy the natural beauty.
