Default Aurora??

If you were working in Aurora, where are the good places to live with an hour or less commute(during rush hour)? We're coming from the D.C. area and Aurora is one of our options. So I'm looking for any suggestions you guys can give. I grew up in Boulder but left Co in 1996 so I've kind of lost touch. Thanks.

The Denver metro area is nothing like DC (was born at GW and grew up in Monkey County) - you can have a nice place to live and a short commute.

There are things that are different - no lightening bugs or cicadas no humidity (drink often) and we are closer to the sky (bring sunscreen) Our baseball team is better than yours and our mountains are closer. Light Rail is newer, and the Medical campus at the old Fitzsimmons Army base will be one of the premiere facilities in the Rocky Mountain Region.

What are you looking for in a community/property/commute and what do you like and don't like about where you are now?

What don't we like about our present location??? Don't even know where to begin; how about first the people and the general attitude out here. They all look like this And a 35mile commute that takes 2hrs if you leave after 6:30am and after 4pm.

As for a house, we're just looking for safe neighborhood with good schools. A single family home with 4bdrms would be nice, no townhomes. Got any suggestions? Thanks.

Parts of Denver, Aurora, Centennial, Parker, Greenwood Village for starters...people here are not like the people there (even time is slower here.) People here, like most of the Midwest - are friendly, nice and genuine.

There are a bunch of people here originally from there - and don't get me wrong - I love to visit and bring the kids - but Denver is home.
