Goodmorning! My husband and i are thinking about moving to des moines from south carolina with our two young sons. can someone tell me a good place to live on the outskirts of the city center? we will be renting for a while, we need a safe area and lower rent median (around 700). Also, what places/activities/events are there for kids in the area? zoos? parks? museums? Also, just for my curiosity, how much snow do you get on averaage? I've lived in VERY warm areas for the last 10 years and am SO ready for a good snow! Thanks!

$700 might be a little tricky for a family with 2 kids, but you should probably be able to find a duplex for that. I'd check for one with a SW address.
