Default Interview places in Des Moines

Ok, so I have a weird question: I am looking for good suggestions of locations to go for "Man On The Street" style interviews...you know, quick, relaxed style questions that I can record on camera. I am a youth pastor and what to be able to ask random people quick questions, no hidden agendas or anything, that I can show to students at youth group. In Chicago, I can go to Michigan Ave, or Navy Pier, or parks or whatever...there are lots of random people to work with. Des Moines though? I am drawing a huge blank on a good public place to just plain chat with people. I dont want to go to malls or other businesses...I dont want to be "that guy" that annoys business owners and their customers. Any tips?

Pappajohn Sculpture Garden, Gray's Lake Park, Nollen Plaza, Court Avenue or even the state capitol grounds, the skywalks during lunch hour...

Too bad the Saturday downtown farmer's market is done for the season, there would be tons of people to chat with there!

Kaleidoscope and the rest of the skywalk system usually get a lot of foot traffic. Court Avenue as well, and the East Village. If you want to get out of downtown, you could try Valley Junction.
