Hello all! I am looking for a men's clothier that has suits in the $500-$2,000 range that actually knows what they are talking about. Unfortunately I've found places like Men's Warehouse or Jos. A. Bank doesn't have much to offer in terms of knowledge.

Is there anywhere I might go to purchase a standard black wool suit where they can do some real measuring and tailoring? I was thinking Von Maur but didn't know if they had intelligent men or teenage boys working.

Your help is greatly appreciated!

I recommend Badower's on Ingersoll Avenue or Mr. B's on 86th Street.

Badower's was just named to some national retailer award. I'd definitely check them out.

For big and tall G&L's downtown is the place. They are pricey but have great stuff.

I'm probably going to visit them this week. They can fit me better than most. They also carry Yaktrax, which are great in the winter.
