I went while the library was there. Other than that I avoid it. The last few times I was there to shop or go bowling it was full of a bunch of punks looking for trouble.

That was a few years ago. Maybe they've cleaned it up.

I've lived here since 2001. MHM has always been my primary mall, and I worked in a store there 2001-2002. I never witnessed anything like that.

Never seen the type looking for trouble at MHM?? You may need glasses.

Because these guys are in Iowa, they try even harder to be "gangster". It's bad.

I have to agree. Unless you are afraid of and think all non-white people are trouble and if so you have a problem.

I was there yesterday and they are rearranging Target. The place was a mess! I heard so many customers asking where everything moved to. They are moving toys to right inside the mall entrance where the home stuff was. It looks junky IMO.

Be prepared to feel lost next time you go there.

I lived in Iowa years ago and I have many fond memories of Merle Hay Mall. I think it is probably the first mall that I ever visited and I think it was also the first one both of my parents visited. I haven't been in there since 2001. Most of my relatives live closer to Jordan Creek, which to me is excessive. My cousin calls it Franchiseville.

I could be mistaken, but I think it is being transferred into one of Target's PFresh stores: Target Offers a Handpicked Selection of Fresh Produce, Meat and Baked Goods in Select PFresh Stores / Target Corp

That would be nice! So they will have fresh food but less than Super Target?
