Can anyone give me the links to area sports for the Waukee area?
My kids need sports and extra curricular activities and from what I've seen in my searches there is not much.
Where we are from there are after-school clubs, year around sports and activies like drama, art, music.
What do kids do after school here?

Ok, I see form the large response that Waukee has as little sports and extra curricular activities as I feared.
No soccer leagues? No little league? No lego or chess clubs? Winter is going to be waaaaay boring.
I miss our farm already, ha.

I have no idea where you are looking or why you are having so much trouble finding things. Generally there is so much going on in the metro for kids you have to pick and choose as to not overwhelm you kid(s).

I9 sports seems to be the big one for extracurricular sports. You'll see signs posted near the driveways of the school when they have registration.

There's also Upward sports, though I'm foggier on how to register for those.

Waukee offers a TON of extracurriculars through the school district. We came from a district easily 10x larger and it didn't have nearly as many options. The downside is they're pricy, too expensive for us usually. Register for emails from Waukee Backpack WaukeeBackpack | Waukee Community School District's Flier Distribution Site and they'll send out all kinds of information.

Waukee itself I think doesn't have many parks & rec activities (at least not that I've found) but next door West Des Moines literally put out a 66 page book of summer programs.

Dsm4kids.com is a great place to check a daily calendar if you are looking for something to do that particular day.

I agree with capitalcityguy - there is a ton to do around here with kids. Much of it is expensive which has limited us most so far (we've only been here a few months as well)
