All of those are outside of Hamtramck, none are inside the borders, not even #5 or #7. Its northern boundary is Carpenter, clear cut from the tracks to Conant.

The Hamtramck zip code, 48212, goes into Detroit to about McNichols. The Highland Park one (48203) goes all the way to Eight Mile.

Correct, and many Detroiters in that area claim to be from Hamtramck as well, and arent.

Same thing with 48236...one square mile of it is actually in Detroit...selling point there is a Grosse Pointe mailing address and Grosse Pointe insurance rates.

Is that why CityData says Detroit neighborhoods are in Highland Park?

Palmer Woods might be in 48221, but the others are in 48203.

In case anyone was wondering... I ended up getting a place here in Troy. It IS a bit boring, but it's safe and quiet so I can get some sleep!
