Did you just make a joke and proceed to laugh at your own joke?

Yes. Did you just demonstrate a weak spirit who's unable to laugh at himself?

Then literally in the hotel parking lot was a homeless man holding a sign claiming to be some sort of vet and was harassing everyone entering the hotel. The downtown was nicer than when I went back in 2006. I wouldn't exactly call it vibrant but it was winter so I'd give it the benefit of doubt. My uncle lived in Wyoming till he died and I wouldn't call that a nice place at all.

And I LOL'd at how far off base you are about Eastpointe.
What about East Pointe was off base? I didn't even really talk much else about it other than the name. It was a nice neighborhood back in the early 90's, where many Detroit city workers lived (huddled together for strength in numbers basically). But you do know they changed their name, right? It used to be called East Detroit, but they were trying to distance themselves from Detroit as much as they could.

So you found some anecdotal evidence that Grand Rapids has a couple of empty machine shops and a homeless guy. Ouch. Case closed.

Laughing at your own jokes is just lame.

Scolls, I've actually let you off a bunch of times when people were complaining about your posts. I have never kicked anyone off of this site for expressing their opinions or debating issues, positive or negative. Only that one ass-hat who has been banned about 50 times in the last year.

Actually you're wrong. Detroit city workers did not live in Eastpointe in the early 90's because there was a law that required Detroit city workers to live in the city of Detroit then. They changed their name because people would confuse it with the east side of Detroit.
