What I get from your statement is if a black person moved into your neighborhood, you would hate it and that person whether or not he or she was educated and did not cause any problems.

Hey RedWingFan, answer this. Who gave you the power of choosing your race? I ask this because it seems you put down other people for something that is beyond that person's human control. That's no different than saying that a black person ( I'm black by the way) is bad because of skin color even though they didn't choose it. What kind of IQ do you have? You are really out there as these posts are clearly showing. The majority of people here seem to be dead set against you. You are living in a make-believe mentality. But that said, tell ya what: If you know of anyone who had the power of choosing their race at birth (including yourself), would you PLEASE introduce these people to me as I would be EXTREMELY CURIOUS to know how they did it. Maybe then, we can stop this bull**** racism people have. Let me know soon. Quite frankly, I don't think you'll respond to this because you can't. Much to your bitterness, you know this is true. Oh and by the way, although this statement is liberal, I myself am a conservative. Let see if you respond like an adult. PHIL

Last I checked we all live in the USA and are free to do whatever we want. If RWF wants to live in a white neighborhood then more power to him. Ever heard of Chinatown, Greektown, or any of the other ethnic parts of the USA? He is dead on when he says most people want to live where they feel comfortable, which just happens to be around like groups of people. I wonder how many rich white politicians who push this PC crap, actually live in a diverse neighborhood? HMMMMMMM, I am going to guess and say zero. We are looking for a house right now and 90% + white demographic is a must. Why does that bother you so much?
As far as applejacks post goes. Hes right! You cant choose your race. But you can choose how to lead your life. All you have to do is drive thru any major city in the country and you will see the fears are justified. If blacks move into the neighborhood I live in, I wouldnt care. As long as they left the guilt trip in 1950's where it belongs. But then again, they would probably be accused of acting to white. RWF might be in the minority on this site, but he is speaking the truth for most not living in a liberal controlled dream world. Last edited by tljones; 07-18-2008 at 05:44 PM. |

Oh boy --- here I am so excited to relocate there from Toronto and one of my only reservations was the acceptance of race (I remember meeting a Floridian and she said "Toronto? I hear it was a rule to marry outside your race up there lol" - obviously a joke but you get the drift)....I understand that race must be dealt with but I absolutely hate that in 2008 it is still an issue ... ANYWHERE
I WILL say that we met our agent via the Internet and communication started without so much as a meeting.....I gave him our requirements, price range, school preferences etc and he booked us a weekend full of house showings.....when we finally met in person I didn't see even a hint of suprise that we are an interacial couple.......the bank didn't seem to notice either. Sooooo hopefully this is indicative of the welcome we will get ![]() |

Great Choice! I have actually only been to Rochester Hills only a few times but I have only heard good things about it.

We are pretty excited about the choice. With my hubby driving to the city, we know it's a little further out than what may be optimal for him, but from the first time we drove through the subdivision I was in love...couldn't stop thinking about it. We still kept our options opened and looked everywhere between Bloomfield Hills to there and Oakland township to Oak Park and Birmingham, but something kept bringing us back to that particular sub.... Less than a month now.... |
