I'll say going to a baseball game. Comerica Park is beautiful and gives a very flattering view of the city of Detroit. If only the whole city looked like the view from Comerica!

alot of new developments have been coming into the city, Detroit is gonna be gaining on chicago in no time. i truly believe that in the next ten years Detroit will be a big contender for the top spot. I like it all on the poll, all of downtown and midtown.

love the Detroit architecture. when i visited the city, I would take a walk around campus martius, stroll the riverwalk, and got a chance to see a play at the fisher theatre. I also enjoyed all the different resturaunts and the beautiful churches.

umm...
Hockey Games...there is NOTHING like a live game at the Joe (HOCKEYTOWN LIVES). Mexicantown is great, I also enjoy Greektown and the architecture. Unfortunately, I think the "best view" of Detroit is from Windsor (or the bridge coming back). Detroit should be a contender with Chicago! Geographically it is many similarities. HOWEVER, the mentality of the Detroit metro area (as analyzed in other posts) will more often than not PREVENT it from giving Chicago a run for its money. Sorry!
Just MHO,
-TM
