Ok many people believe the only revitalization going on is in Downtown and surrounding areas (midtown, corktown, brush park) etc. This is not true. The reitalization in those parts of town are just more visible. People talk about, midtown especially, these areas because of the efforts of making it the next "soho" or whatever. Plus lets face it, they are the only areas where white hipsters (no offense) are moving. They are also considered the most "safe" and many people who aren't from the city aren't going to drive around the outer neighborhoods for fear of being robbed, carjacked, murdered etc smh. BUT contrary to belief there is actually some revitalization going on outside of downtown and surrounding areas.

This links shows some pictures of revitalization outside of the more popular areas. Someone by the name of hudkina has a lot of pictures throughout Detroit on flickr and posts a lot of them on the skyscraperpage site
