In addition to Indian Village, which runs along Jefferson Avenue/The Detroit River, check out the Boston Edison district (home of Henry Ford, Jack White of the White Stripes [pre-Nashville]), just off of Woodward Avenue, Woodbridge (just west of Wayne State University), at Trumbull and Warren and Palmer Park/Palmer Woods, also off of Woodward, but heading North out of the city between Six Mile and 8 Mile.
Hope that helps!

Default West Canfield

There is also the Historic West Canfield homes. They are amazing. I believe that they are between Cass and First but I may be off by a block or two. If you check Michigan's Historic Sites they will be on there. Glad tosee someone interested in "touring" Detroit.
