Default Nice Detroit areas?

As much negative word that gets out about Detroit, there's gotta be some nice suburbs out in Detroit land somewhere. So which ones are actually nice/safe areas? I've really only been downtown and passed through the industrial areas on the highway.

Northville, Plymouth, Northville Township, Plymouth Township, Livonia, Canton, Novi...As far as inner ring suburbs, Most of Dearborn is still OK, North Dearborn Heights is OK, the Pointes are all good, Ferdale is OK....I don't think anyone ever implied there aren't very nice suburbs around Detroit.

Rochester Hills, Rochester, Auburn Hills, Bloomfield Hills, Romeo are a few more. Shelby Township is another. (these are more of the 'extremely' nice suburbs of Detroit...)

Depends on what county.

Macomb County - Eastpointe...Roseville are kinda lacking. Northern Warren is nice, all of Fraser, most of Clinton Township, Sterling Heights, Utica, etc.

This is all true...plus Royal Oak, Birmingham, Lathrup Village, Berkley, Huntington Woods, Pleasant Ridge, Bingham Farms, Beverly Hills, Bloomfield Hills, West Bloomfield, Franklin, Farmington, Walled Lake, Wixom...plus south of the D, like Wyandotte, Grosse Ile...on and on. Plenty of nice suburbs here.

Yes, that's why they call them suburbs OUTSIDE OF DETROIT. People that own businesses in the ghetto-recessed areas inside of Detroit, take that money spend it outside the city at Sams club, Costco, bringing those bulk products in the dollar stores, gas stations, etc. and sell them at a profit to pay for their nice homes, cars, boats around and outside detroit city limits. ANYTHING over/above Eight Mile rd. is nice. That is why its NOT detroit. What little was left, that COleman Young did't steal? Kwame the current crooked mayor, has taken, robbed, depleted. Thus building a few thousaand little HUD pre-manufactured homes (with a view of the vacant lots) to keep "them down on the plantation'. Dont fool yourself; its not bringing about an economic change for the Inner city dwellers; its just 'keeping us in our place". Thats all. Sorry for the pessimistic outlook; but that what happens after living here for 30 yrs. and now being on soc. sec. there is no hope for our family to ever 'strike it rich' or 'better our situation'.
