Where did you pull these property tax numbers?

For instance the house on Outer Drive would have to have an SEV of 81,000 to be that high, meaning the house is valued at 162,000.

The house on Seminole would need to have an SEV of 103,000 or in other words worth 206,000.

Scolls,

I got the tax information from current/historic real estate listings. I did start to cross-reference with the property tax site offered by the City of Detroit, but ran out of free turns.

I think Klenk is the best pick because of the canal.

Here's the link to the listing agent for Klenk - tax info shown:

Home for Sale - 14620 Klenk St, Detroit, MI 48215 - MLS ID 211071022 - CENTURY 21 Town & Country

According to this site the assessed value is 11k and taxes are a thousand dollars a year 14620 Klenk Street, Detroit MI | MLS# 211071022 - Trulia

Going by what previous owners paid is misleading. It was probably a foreclosure and the previous owner owed lots of backed taxes, late fees, and interest. I find all your numbers to be false and misleading.

The house you listed on Seminole is an 11,000 square foot, 8 bedroom house listed for $429,000. Of course a mansion is going to have high taxes.
