im going to henry ford CC Next fall, and im buying a house with cash, i have up to 40,000 dollars to spend on a house that i got from selling 2 of my cars, i live near grand rapids now, i moved from Mayfair St in dearborn heights In 2006, and i want to buy a house in my old neighborhood, i havent been there since 2008, what are these areas like now.

Dearborn/Dearborn Hts between Monroe And Pelham 48124-48125

Taylor Between I-94 And Van Born

All these neighborhoods are quite livable, if working-class. Wherever you see very low prices, watch out for a "catch" like taxes due, or serious repairs needed (I don't know anything about these particular houses - this applies in general)

If you don't have kids, it is a great area. I wouldn't recommend sending kids to Dearborn Public Schools though.
