That's a bit of an exageration.

You also need to find a job to pay for said house. That's getting harder and harder to do in the Detroit area.

I guess if you had employment, wether a stable job (hey, there has to be a handful out of a million?) your own business or whatever, it's a buyers market. I was in the market there in Macomb Co about 3 1/2 years ago and it was a buyers market then. Had a contract on a house for $37,000 less then asking. So, I would think you could do even better then that now? Fell through and I didn't move back there though.

Not to mention, I'm pretty sure you could get into trouble for doing this, and calls to emergency services are recorded along with the phone the call originated from.
You sound like you're still in school, so you're probably living with your parents. I'm sure they wouldn't appreciate this either.

Edited to say, I don't agree with this part:
** I'm assuming by "these people" you mean black people. You might not consider yourself racist, but from where I sit that looks like a racist - and ignorant - statement.
Right On Paws, I am glad to know that I am not the only one that's reading these racist remarks, and yes the statement is racist. I can't understand why so-called matured parents allow their brats to play on the computer, Potheads and crackheads love to play on peoples computers too. Many go to the library because their habit costs to much to afford a computer.

To those of you that's considering moving to Detroit...come on. Once you get here each one of our news stations 2,4,7. Which show you that crime is in the surrounding areas (where all whites live) just like the crime in Detroit.

Anywhere you move to there is NO ESCAPE from crime, racism, discrimination, unemployment, and other everyday crisis. Why keep moving around the world,
and each time it costs money.

Well, if someone would market this newfound bargain status perhaps we could entice people with pensions to move to the area. Not everyone wants to go to hurricane ravaged Florida or Gulf coast. It's called marketing when people present a solution to other peoples' problems. Plus, Michigan is more than just Detroit. The entire state is the best bargain in America short of North Dakota. The biggest problem will be overcoming Granholmnomics, that's what's making Michigan real estate go down every year since she's been governor.
