I'm trying out Sprint but I won't be moving to the area for 3 more weeks. I really like the 4G down here. Does Sprint 4G coverage work there between Ann Arbor and Detroit? How is the overall service up there?

Sprint would not be a good service for 4G (Clear) Its only in certain parts of downtown and there is no 4G anywhere near Ann Arbor

Yea Sprint has a very small coverage. Verizon and Metro PCS have wider coverage though it seems that only Verizon goes towards Ann Arbor.

That's a better coverage map than the carrier's website. Thanks!

This is false. MetroPCS uses Sprint's network.

Yes, Sprint's failed 4G with WiMax is coming to an end, but they are going in the same direction as all of the other carriers with 4G LTE. And Sprint and Verizon have had a free cross-network (seamless) sharing agreement for a decade now. It will likely continue with 4G LTE. But Sprint's first 4G LTE phone may or may not have yet hit the market.

You can't go wrong with any carrier, but Sprint is the least expensive and still offers unlimited data.

I'm not sure about that area but that's not the case in the Raleigh/Durham, Myrtle Beach and Virginia area. I'm trying out Sprint now because my cell phone bill will be cheaper than my Verizon. After trying Sprint out since the weekend.

I've noticed that Verizon's coverage and signal is much better than Sprint's but Sprint still has a moderate signal. I also tried out Virgin Mobile and Boost Mobile which they say uses Sprint but the service and coverage is not good, in fact it's worse than Sprint. I don't know if it's because Sprint only limits on their coverage for them.

But I've notice a major different between Sprint and Verizon. Now, I've never used the Verizon 4G, just Sprint.

Sprints first LTE phone is already on the market. HTC EVO 4G LTE has landed!

I was at the Sprint store yesterday. They told me even though the LTE phone is out, the coverage is very limited and not available in most areas for another year. Therefore, I need to wait and get a LTE phone when the coverage has expanded because the phones will be more advanced and the HTC EVO will be ancient.
