The first bill paid during the drawdown to the bankruptcy process was $1.4 million to Orr’s former law firm.

Nine reasons the bankruptcy is a scam

Now if you'll excuse me, I must rush off to an urgent meeting that I've scheduled with the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy and Santa Claus. We're going to chat about why they've been avoiding me for years. My sneaking suspicion is that it's a massive conspiracy to deny me the treats and the presents that I would have been certain to receive absent their conspiring ways.

GEEZ LOUISE!! SOme of the comments here are exactly what the good people of Detroit said about Kilpatrick--it's a tough job, cut him some slack; he deserves a few perks; so what if he gets a little extra; ect...

The more status the saviour has the more willing we are to turn a blind eye.

Kilpatrick is an idiot criminal from the kleptocratic class. Orr is a nationally respected bankruptcy practitioner. The two aren't remotely comparable.

I have no problem paying Kevin Orr for his expertise. I have no problem with the new police Chief's compensation. I DO have a problem with Gary Brown's $225k/yr on Orr's payroll. I DO have a problem with anyone getting $275k/yr who isn't paying their own dang room service bill (could get an efficiency and/or order carry-out). You got the $, now spend some it it where they pay you.
Be above reproach.
