Default Best Places to Work as a Waitress in Detroit

I am looking to waitress in a high-end restaurant or bar and grille in Detroit. I would prefer something on the East side near Grosse Pointe, but I would also consider something downtown, in Greektown, or in Oakland County. What restaurants in Detroit attract the affluent, business crowd?

I think that you'd really like Greektown. Very lively.

If you want Oakland County than it would be Royal Oak, or if you wanna travel a little farther north, Birmingham. I actually think Birmingham might be younger than Grosse Pointe, but you'll be happy with either.

The upscale, high end restaurants would include Opus One and The Whitney. But, many newer restaurants have opened up that are considered more upscale and trendy. Look at The Woodward, Detroit Breakfast House, Seldom Blues, and Sweet Georgia Brown. They all cater to a professional business crowd, as well as evening trendy/hip crowd.

Rich single men are in the 'burbs so I would recommend B'ham, Rochester or try Troy with Ruth Chris, Morton's or the Kruise and Muir.

Good luck!

I had dinner with parents at the Morton's in Southfield. It was a very old crowd (no surprise) that may not be around forever (we can only hope). Birmingham/Troy is the best bet.
