I love how the Detroit Police cheif, (who is another friend of mayor Kilpatrick), says that "these reports are not putting things in perspective, and does not paint a good image of what the City actually is".

If I were the residents of Detroit, I would be calling for her to be fired for saying that... because if you talk to any Detroit Resident, or any person who goes to Detroit often, they will tell you this F.B.I. report does not come as a surprise to them.

Hate crimes. I think the term to be used is "reported hate crimes". True, there is alot of racial tension in Michigan, especially in southeast MI, but with that in mind, you also have to look at what the state of Michigan defines as a hate crime and how likely a hate crime is going to be reported.
