Port Huron! Go in the summer though. So beautiful along the water. Then take a trip down to the Junction Buoy on River Rd in Marysville for dinner or lunch. Great food and breathtaking views. Be sure to order the spicy cheeseballs as an appetizer, they are awesome! There is also a decent mall and lots of other attractions in Port Huron and the Bluewater area. Take a cruise on the Huron Lady II. Great way to see the St. Clair River and Lake Huron. Lots of great things to do there.

In late Summer there is a race called the "Run through Hell". It is Aug. 10th this year if I remember right. The wife will be running the 5 mile race this year. Nice place to visit as well during that time. If you are a runner it makes a good run.

Thanks we will try that. Is it doable in a day from the Detroit area?

Absolutely. Just went there two weeks ago. From Dearborn it's about 80 miles, hour and 15 minutes or so straight down 94. If you have any questions or anything feel free to contact me. Port Huron is like a second home to me. If you do the Huron Lady thing in the summer, make some reservations as it fills up.
