Default New Greektown Hotel - Parking

As almost every Metro Detroiter knows the Greektown Casino is building a new hotel and the parking structure attached is already completed. Will this hotel and all of this new building in Greektown really help the town? I have mixed feelings about it myself. It is bringing something new into not just Greektown but Downtown, and it is bringing more people into the Greektown area. But in another way all Greektown Casino - Hotel has done is make Greektown a huge a flashy tourist area. The Casino totally swallowed Trapper's Alley which was over there for years. The last time I was in Downtown which was a few weeks ago, and drove through Greektown everywhere you turn your head casino signs are EVERYWHERE! Greektown Casino "turn left, turn right." The casino kind of in that way ruined the charm that Greektown once had, in the 60's through the 90's. And it may just worsen with the new hotel opening up this coming year. Any other comments on the situtation?

It's not like Trapper's Alley was a hot bed. I worked in the comic shop that got ejected.

I'm not really digging the fact that Greektown cheaped out and abandoned the site near the freeway though.
