Fitting in in Grosse Pointe
I'm a working class girl, and don't have a lot of designer clothes. What are some ways to appear wealthy and fit in in the Grosse Pointe area?

Go to salvation army and buy their used clothing?
Wear a maids' outfit?
Dress in sailing clothing (only works in the summer)?
Park your car in Detroit and hitchhike into Grosse Pointe so you can be seen getting out of a Mercedes? (this is sarcastic- do not actually try it, it would be really dangerous and stupid).
top answer: Find people who do not care what you wear or drive and judge you for who you are and ignore the rest. There are such people in "the pointes", I have met some of them and I know that they have friends.

You could make your own clothes and start a trend with your own label.

Are you serious? Really really serious?
Awwww, sweetie stop this way of thinking....as a fitness model, competitor and fitness coach, I see all sorts - some who are trying to get into shape to attract men. As a girl who grew up poor and worked her fanny off in school and grad school, I know the desire of wanting more...my now husband is from a better background with more education. Did I try to hide who I was? No...he valued me for having so little, raising above it and doing more. And now, we are doing well, have honesty and respect and I never had to "sell" myself short to get that...I EARNED it.
Give your head a shake, work hard for YOURSELF and once you accept yourself for what you are - and more importantly - what you can be, the rest will fall into place. And if you don't meet the rich guy? Honey, it won't matter, YOU will earn YOUR OWN income.

ModelChick wants what a lot of girls want, money and looks, love optional.
I'd rather have love, though. Money's worthless if you get treated poorly.

Just do not wear any clothes. that way no one will know that you do not have designer clothing and a lot of men will look at you.
