No doubt that he is giving Coleman Young hell from the newsroom in the sky. Never was a fan of his....but sad for the loss of such an icon.

I was happy to see his passing mentioned during the Lions game today. His spirit, no doubt, helped block the Minnesota field goal. RIP.

He was one of a kind. Personalities like Charlie LeDuff wouldn't be around had it not been for Bonds.

Never really cared for the guy. When I lived in Detroit many years ago I remember watching him and he would deliberately throw curve balls at the correspondents out in the field in order to make them look bad. I suppose he thought that made him look good. Later when his drinking caught up with him I sort of felt sorry for him. Despite all his fame he never struck me as a very happy man.

It's hard to even picture the world without Bill Bonds. I'll have to watch Escape From The Planet Of The Apes tonight so I can see his face one more time.
