Blacks in Livonia (Detroit, Southfield: racist, foundation, ethnicity)

I was not basing my opinion on the Wal Mart incident, as a matter of fact that incident had slipped my mind.
I have heard some other things concearning Livonia that made me uneasy but these things could be now past.
I don't want people to start argueing because that gets away from my question.
I just want someplace that is clean and quiet and has a decent school system for my children.
It dosen't bother me if some people won't like me due to my race, my biggest apprehension would be if someone said something to my children that would harm them, I have three girls all under seven years old.

That is the best anyone can do. Personally, this is the way I see it. Many people have moved to Livonia to get away from blacks whether or not they were good or bad. Personally, as much as it is their choice, it is kind of disturbing.
I read a book written by Thomas Shapiro called The Hidden Cost of Being African-American. It mentions issues regarding white flight.

Actually, blacks have been hated on since before this nation became a nation. In fact, early on most suburbs found ways to keep blacks out. That is illegal today. Good thing too. With that said, hatred of blacks and trying to keep away from blacks has been going on for ages.
