Blacks in Livonia (Detroit, Warren, Southfield: apartment complexes, renting, employment)

There are only two schools of thoughts in such debates, which are at the root of every argument. Every argument is either rooted in the nature (genetic) or nurture (environment/experiences) schools of thought. Obviously you are matriculating, an undergrad or doing post graduate work in the former (your essays here are akin to a dissertation for your Doctor of Philosophy in black inferiority/white supramacy) .

You have much foundation for your opinion, given that you are convinced blacks should be or could be doing better than they are collectively, given that whites and other overcame being enslaved, culturally stripped, denigrated, castigate, segregate and treated like second class citizens, in this nation, only to rise above it all and look down upon blacks for not being able to do the same. I mean, each race has had to climb out of the same hole in this nation and hence bench marks of where blacks should be and could be have been established and hence proven that blacks reaction to their experience makes them inferior.

Do blacks in America today have it better than blacks anywhere else…..probably so. Do whites in America have it better than whites anywhere else….probably so? Do blacks in America have it as good as whites…..hell no! Not hardly….and this is the only germane point given that the average African American has more generations in this nation than the average white American. Heck, I would rather be in America right now than in Africa, however, if I was living 100, 200 and 300 years ago, I would much rather have been in Africa than America.

Pulled over 75 times for no reason and you got no ticket. I'm not calling you a liar, but I sure don't believe you. You know, SOME people would complain to SOMEONE after 75 illegal stops like that. A devious bad cop would have written you some tickets for fail to signal, speed 5 over, etc. But those dastardly guys who stopped you were evil enough to conduct unconstitutional siezures but not evil enough to cover their aweful deeds with ONE ticket in almost 100 stops. Uh huh.



Normally you sound fairly intelligent in your posts, but by trying to lend any credibility to someone who says they were stopped once a week for no reason over a year and a half by one police department after leaving work, and on top of that got no tickets, you really painted yourself into a corner. This is a community that voted out SMART buses and tried in vain to stop WALMART because it didn't want "those people" coming into their community. It was never clarified who those people were but I believe Mayor Kirksey had a smile on his face when asked if it referred to "those from Detroit."

Pretty crappy. Wonderbread is a little like Stepford and has a great dislike for crust? It doesn't make any sense. Are African Americans supposed to be the crust that Wonderbread doesn't have?

Did you mean to say Livonia is like Wonderbread because it's soft, white and tasteless, lacking soul? Or did you mean Livonia is like Wonderbread because it's very safe and not likely to mess you up like a moldy pumpernickel or aggravate your diverticulitus with caraway seeds like rye bread?

Don't blame em. The SMART bus is like the criminal shuttle. Ask the police in surrounding communities how the shoplifters, auto thieves, etc get out into the suburbs. SMART bus! You ever notice how disgusting the bus stops are? Sorry, who wants people from another city to come out to THEIR city and trash it simply because they dont give a damn about it?

I've been skimming through this topic... I am also trying to move out of my city which was once a white and crime-free population.

"WHY would a black want to move into a white city?", and "WHY would anyone fight to live in a place they are not wanted?"

The government has taken away our right of association long ago. I don't care nor do I disagree that some white people are bad too, but that has nothing to do with wanting to live with my own kind. White's are the only people accused of racism, yet are the least racist. I have no more to give to undeserving people, which get free handouts just because of their skin color. Just leave us alone.
