RO isn't Detroit. So you really didn't forget.

Default Slow's

Cast my vote for Slow's. I always equated barbecue with pork, and still generally do, but Slow's beef brisket is to die for. All their side dishes, especially mac 'n cheese, are great too. Finally, they've got the best beer list in town - how could you go wrong? The only thing I would fault slightly is their service - all too often it lives up to the name.

No argument there, which is why I usually go for pork (chicken`s usually too dry) when eating barbecue. But like I said, Slow`s brisket is a very good exception. Oh, and I mentioned the beer list but they have a great bourbon list too.

we just ate at a place in Jackson called Findlays. Great food, and remarkably good service (the best service we have seen in Michigan). If you have eaten there, does Slows compare? Other places compare? I sure wish that there was a Findlays nearby.
