What amuses me is how the media made out Kwame to be some sort of brilliant, great new Democratic hope, potential future President just a couple of years ago when he was elected. The painful, undeniable truth is that the stuff they were writing about him was really no different than the stuff they write in their puff pieces about Obama today. Makes you wonder.

I always knew he was a ****tard though.

Well, I think that Detroit was trying desperately to cling to some new hope. It failed and now the right thing should be done. The man(?) needs to be a bigger person and step aside while this circus act plays out and let someone with some real brains try to run this city. There is no way in he** that a person can focus on both those situations with any kind of success in either.

As far as Obama goes, that is countrywide, a small difference than a city. Although this country has allowed the circus to play in the government, I don't think this act would last long unless he proves to be what he claims.

It is all a shame. Can't men just keep their heads on their shoulders, instead of in their pants, for cripes sakes. I would have to say with all the men getting busted cheating, I hope it was worth it. Five or so minutes of strange for a life time of BS? Really. Grow up. It is embarrassing to say the least.

Kwame's just a punk. While some good has come out of him, he has too much drama and corruption goin on. Kick his behind out of the mayor's office and then maybe Detroit will have a fighting chance/

The problem is that this mayor or any mayor of Detroit will not be held accountable. Detroit is run like a 3rd world African style country. If you hear some of the interviews from Detroit residents, they seem to blame the "white media" for making the mayor into a clown. However, although he's a perpetual embarrassment, we should expect Kwami's behavior to continue.

During Kwami's bid for reelection, I went to bed around 11:30pm and he was being resoundingly defeated; there was no way he could recover from his defecit. After dark. in come the bus loads of voters so that by the next morning, he won reelection. Again, we are reminded of 3rd world, African style corruption.

Remember his Kwami's trip to DC to participate with the "movers and shakers" of this country. He dressed like a Hollywood Hood, took his posse, threw around media, and basically partied like a school boy. What other leader want's to associate with that? We simply can't take this guy seriously or expect anyone of any importance to either.

What does the way he dress has anything to do with how he runs the city the mayor takeas care of buisness and that's what matters the most, no one ever talks about the gothic people wearing gothic clothing the way kwame dresses is a freedom of expression this is America and as far as I'm concerned the mayor can dress hip hoppish if he wants it's [art of his culture so what!!!!!

I don't know any mayors that dress like goths.

The mayor of Detroit looks and acts like a crackhead, gangster rapper buffoon. If you see that as a matter of personal expression, and not as a matter of hurting credibility with the 21st century business community then I can't help you.

If you want to talk performance, just look at all the jobs and population Detroit has continued to bleed under his tenure.

I really don't think that you are that far off the mark. Many good thoughts here. I also agree with the reelection situation. I think as much as there are screamers against racism, those are the ones who keep it alive. I personally do not care about race as long as all the laws are followed and the job is being done effectively. If that cannot be done-I don't care if you are green, yellow or purple-you got to go!!!! The grown up human thing for a person, any person, in this position would be to step down, take it like a man and do the right thing for the city instead allowing this circus act to be paraded aroung the US. It is bad enough that Detroit has the rep it does, now we are even a bigger joke.
