Default Comparing Chicago, Minneapolis, and Detroit...

Detroit Folks,
I was wondering if you could compare the bitterness of Winter in Chicago and Minneapolis to Detroit...and the pleasantness of Summer in all...also is there a nice Spring and Autumn? Does anyone have faith that Detroit can become a badass city that it was when Motown was King?

The winters in each of these cities are about the same, I know that the twin cities can get some snow that Detroit or Chicago does not get, or colder weather. After all the twin cities are further north than Detroit and Chicago. The spring and fall weather is also about the same.

The the second part of the question, there has been dozens of threads on Detroit "coming back", know one can entirely predict the future of the city and the state. First for the city to return to it's former glory, it has to kick out the mayor that I can't even describe with words. And people have to begin to move back into Detroit city limits. You can't have a city without people!!

The Twin cities area is measurably colder and snowier than Detroit or Chicago.

I hope Detroit cleans up the government and can get back to being a world class city, but I often get discouraged. I still love spending my time in the city, and appreciate every improvement but we have a long way to go.

A city without people is Flint! Detroit in my opinion is more prosperous than Flint, however the size is larger so there are more ghetto type areas. However Detroit is obviously nothing compared to Chicago. Has anyone been to Milwaukee? It seems like a nice place.
