Default Looking for employment w/ school districts

Does anyone know if any schools or school districts in the Michigan / Detroit area have IT programs? I'm from California and work for an elementary school district over here, have been for about 2 years now.

The cost of living in California is unbearable and I'm looking to relocate to Detroit by next year. Does anyone know anyone who I could get into contact with regarding working for any of the school districts over there?

Thanks a lot.

I can tell you right now to save your time and look in another state. I've got several friends and acquaintences who graduated with their teaching degrees and they constantly talk about how it's near impossible to get a job in any school system here. Many have moved out-of-state already.

Places like FL, AZ, TX are basically begging for teachers. Those that stick around here may often end up at a private school, which doesn't pay jack. It's up to you, but I would say the amount of time you spend looking here, you could use to get settled somewhere else where their is an abundance. If you do find one here, good for you...Michigan is a great state.
