iam trying to find out info about the old arlan,s dept store at the packard plant , i was wondering does any one know what year it opened and when it closed we use to shop there in the early 1960's also i would love to see pics of it back when it was open so if u have any please post them , also pics from the grocery store behind the arlans if anyone has pics or info u can email me at

I never took any when I was on foot. Most of these were from the first time I ever came.

Your photos of Detroit are AMAZING! Do you do a lot of aerial/cityscape photography as a hobby or professional? I was in Detroit (Windsor) for a few weeks (I ran the marathon back in October) and I love taking these kinds of photos myself, but pretty much stuck to Riverside Dr in Windsor b/c I didn't really know where to go to get any good shots...that, and that week in October was pretty gloomy. Next October (18th) if you're in the area, let me know if you want to take some photos. I'd like to find out the good places to get these kinds of shots.
