Default New to Plymouth -- Where to purchase meats?

We found Randazzo's for produce. We love their variety, quality and price.

Now we need to find the best place to purchase meats for the best price.

Any suggestions?

Thank you.

For Italian stuff try Chimento's on Plymouth west of Farmington.

I was going to suggest Chimento's before I saw the thread above, it's in Livonia, at the roads posted above. It's not just Italian, it has many different types of meats, Italian, Polish, German, etc.

Hiller's Market has a good deli, but they are not exactly cheap.

How far do you want to go? Lots of good places around Eastern Market in Detroit.

Maybe a ten mile radius.

Good cheap hamburgers - go to Gordon foods and buy a box of ground sirloin.

ewww..........Go a few more miles to Joyview Meats on Joy Road and Telegraph. Even Chimento's on Plymouth has good ground chuck. I don't know about sirloin. Just remember to smile and say hello to Gina at Chimento's so she won't be cranky at you.

There's a market on Ann Arbor Trail in either Livonia or Westland. I can't remember the name of it. On the outside, it just looks like a typical party store, but they have a great meat counter. Next time I go by I'll try to remember the name.

I wouldn't buy meat at Gordon's.....

I agree about Hillers though not cheap but sometimes they have specials weekly. Also Busch's I think it is they have locations in Livonia. If you want cheap but not sure how good Meijers. I miss Meijers being out of state now

Meijers meat is aweful. I won't eat it when my wife brings it home. Besides, I'd rather support the independant guy, and there are plenty of those around. Town And Country market is good, on Joy Road and Beech Daly, I think. But if you're that close to Joyview, I'd go there instead.
