Default Need to rent piano/studio time....where?

I relocated to the Detroit area this past year....had to leave my piano behind, and would really like to find a place where I can rent "piano studio time". Where I used to live, there was an art center, where you could lock yourself in a room with a piano and play to your heart's content for a per hour rate...that's what I need down here! I played in a restaurant in northern Michigan for several summers, and would also like to find places down here with live piano dinner music. I have a demo CD...just haven't had much luck in researching said places....any ideas would be appreciated!

Are you looking for an acoustic? I know some players really prefer an acoustic, but if not, I always felt it really makes sense to invest in a keyboard. You can get a full-size, weighted keys, and if it is middle to upper-end board (Motif, Roland, etc.), you will get a lot of bells and whistles that can be even that much the better when it comes to giggin (built-in rhythm, self-contained work station).

Otherwise, you 'might' be able to get some piano time over at one of the college campus practice rooms - Wayne State, or U of M.

Default Thanks...

For the suggestions...but I am a purist at heart.....I just have to have the "real deal". Its just what I am used to and there is nothing like playing on a Grand once you have done so.....

I will check out the college idea...though wayne st and u of m are a bit far for me...I am out in Novi...but there is Schoolcraft and OCC...maybe they have practice rooms....thanks for the idea!
