I support all american workers but given the current state of the american automotive industry I choose to buy a car made in M-Detroit.

Well cut me some slack. You wanna cut the "big 3" some slack..
You think they drove big 3 junk? HELL NO. I have a friend that worked at Hydromatics in Ypsi. He told his Supervisor that this part was defective.
They told him to shut up. Well 200 THOUSAND recalls later they figured it out.
You want your baby/wife in that?
My old man worked for Fords for 32 years. He came up with this material that was "cooked" into a car before/during paint.Excuse me, it's been a LONG TIME.It fixed long time problems with the hood in Mustangs. They stoled it from him. This man was a foreigner who wanted nothing more than to raise his family. Now we bail out the "big 3." SCREW THEM,A bunch of blood suckers and you want to let it go........ Open up YOUR wallet so they can have houses over seas while you break you back. The US can't even design roads. When I was driving 150 in Arizona, in the desert, MY Toyota functioned properly. I use to rebuild enginges that were American crap.......
I was a super for Roush Racing. Go home.
Tell your mommy she screwed up.

I have always been a Ford girl and apparently they are going to be the ONLY American car manufacturer to NOT require a bailout from the government.
When I have had a foreign car, its always been a Honda.
Many of the so called Japanese car makers have American car companies as majority stock holders, except Honda. So if you want a REAL Japanese car, buy Honda, if you want a vegetarian Japanese car buy one of the others.

Gotta love the "I had a great experience with XXX car built by XXX automaker, therefore it is the superior car manufacturer." Look up the statistics rather than listening to some of these ignorant posts. I venture across several auto enthusiast sites and see these kinds of posts every other day.
My opinion would be to go the cost-effective route and doing the homework behind the vehicle. In this day in age, brand loyalty is idiotic. I'm a big proponent of purchasing used vehicles as vehicles for the most have never been a medium of investment.
That said, I am rather enthusiastic about some of things Ford is putting out, especially their Ecoboost systems.
