The Olive Garden on Ford Road and Mercury Drive is closer to detroit than the Chili's.

There were Subways in Detroit at least since 1999...may be longer? I patronized the one there on Woodward near Wayne State.. is it still open?

DO you count Hard Rock Cafe? It technically is a chain as it has locations in various cities around the country.

How about Zaxby's?

1. Whups, I forgot about White Castle! Lemme assemble a list in a sec.
2. The Chili's website uses a "Detroit, MI" address for the Ford Road location. The full address is 5707 Southfield Rd Detroit, MI 48228
3. Yeah, Hard Rock counts too. Detroit's (45 Monroe) opened in 2003 Hard Rock Cafe DETROIT - HOME
4. Zaxby's has no Michigan locations
5. Bucca di Beppo has restaurants in Birmingham, Livonia, and Utica in Michigan
6. Hardee's is, in the Detroit area, Hazel Park, Sterling Heights, Owosso, and Marshall
7. Chik-fil-A lists, in Michigan "c/o Chartwell Dining Service Rochester, MI 48309" - that's it
8. On the Border is in Allen Park, Auburn Hills, Grandville, Kentwood, and Novi
9. Hmm, now that I tried it, apparently Pizza Inn isn't in Michigan

Actually, you're confusing things. The area west of Southfield, east of Evergreen, and north of Ford is Detroit, except for a small triangle-shaped portion of Dearborn that juts up from Ford. So that Chili's is in Detroit, although being right on the border with Dearborn many may consider it to be in Dearborn. The Fairlane Mall is about a mile south of that so not even in the same area.

Whats so strange about Subway being in Detroit? I have ate at the one on East Jefferson many times.

BTW I checked Applebee's. It has restaurants in Michigan, but none in Detroit.
